Vanessa’s role is multifaceted.  Currently, she coordinates multiple projects including the translation of materials into various Indigenous languages; new activity development; and program reports. From an early age, Vanessa exhibited an interest in rocks and minerals, such as incorporating the use of streak to identify pyrite in her primary school creative writing. This interest has led her to become a geoscientist-in-training with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in geology from Queen’s University. Vanessa’s curiosity and wide interests also led her to complete a post-graduate certificate in Global Business Management from Humber College. This combined experience provides Vanessa with a unique skill set which she brings to Mining Matters.
