GEMS Kits for Take Our Kids to Work Day

Mining Matters is offering a limited number of GEMS Kits to companies hosting Grade 9 students for "Take Our Kids to Work Day" on November 6, 2024. These DIY kits—focused on Geology, Engineering, Mining, and Sustainability—offer engaging, hands-on activities with all necessary materials and instructions provided. Kick off the day with an icebreaker like building a headframe or water filtration device. Between presentations from your industry role models, students can create an amethyst pendant, explore careers in mining through quizzes and games, or start a soapstone carving.

Inspire the next generation of mining and STEM professionals! Each kit is designed for one student but can be easily scaled to accommodate up to four students. The base kit costs $165, with an additional charge of $20 per extra student (up to three students). Shipping is not included in the price. Order by October 28 using the form below.
