Unearth It! Activity Book

Are you ready to uncover the incredible story of our planet?

Designed for young learners in Grades 4–8, the new bilingual Unearth It! Activity Book brings Earth science to life through puzzles, challenges, hands-on activities and opportunities to think like a scientist.

Young explorers will journey through billions of years of Earth’s history, navigate the rock cycle, investigate rocks and minerals, follow water through the environment, explore geological hazards and discover how Canada’s geology shapes the natural resources around us. Along the way, they’ll make connections between the Earth and everyday life, from the materials in our phones and buildings to the water we drink and the energy systems that power our world.

The book also introduces important concepts such as renewable and non-renewable resources, critical minerals, mineral exploration and land reclamation, encouraging young people to think about how we use Earth’s resources and how science can help us make informed choices for a more sustainable future.
