Geoscience Aware Challenge

The Geoscience Aware Challenge was originally developed in 2018 through a partnership between Mining Matters, the Canadian Geoscience Education Network, Girl Guides of Canada–Manitoba Council, the Manitoba Geological Survey, and Women Who Rock—five organizations united by a shared commitment to helping youth discover Earth science. Designed for Sparks, Brownies, Guides, Pathfinders, and Rangers, the challenge is supported by an accompanying handbook (available in English only) featuring 41 lesson plans to help bring geology to life.
Although the partnership has since concluded, this resource remains a valuable tool for youth groups interested in exploring Earth science through engaging, hands-on activities.
