Gold in Games vs. Gold in Real Life

Ever wonder how the gold found in block-building games compares to gold in the real world?

Our Gold in Games vs. Gold in Real Life poster takes a familiar virtual world and uses it as a starting point to explore the fascinating science of real gold. Discover what makes gold unique, where it is found, how it is mined and processed, and the important role it plays in technology, medicine, and everyday life. The poster also highlights Canada's gold resources and explores the science, engineering, environmental planning, and teamwork involved in bringing real-world gold from the ground into the products we use.

Explore the poster and discover why real gold is rarer, more complex—and perhaps even more fascinating—than gold in a game.

A big thank you to the World Gold Council for supporting this new resource and helping us inspire young people to discover the fascinating world of gold!
