Thunder Bay Mining Day aims to raise awareness of the significance of the mining and mineral exploration industries to the economy of Thunder Bay and Northwest Ontario, as well as the importance of rocks and minerals in our daily lives. It is a free, family-friendly event held at Marina Park in mid-June, featuring a variety of exciting demonstrations, interactive activities, and exhibits about mineral exploration and mining.
