Prince Edward Island Department of Education Instructional Development Workshops

Deeper and Deeper: Discovering Rocks and Minerals is an Earth science educational resource kit aimed toward junior learners. The Prince Edward Island Department of Education and Early Years purchased a Deeper and Deeper: Discovering Rocks and Minerals educational resource kit for every elementary school on the island. Included in the purchase of these kits are in-service instructional development workshops to train teachers to deliver the kit with confidence. Mining Matters will be hosting two, in-person Deeper and Deeper: Discovering Rocks and Minerals instructional development workshops for 74 Prince Edward Island elementary school teachers. On November 2 and 3, workshops will be held in Charlottetown, and Summerside, respectively.
