Industry - Volunteer Training Workshop

Volunteer Training Workshop

Mining RLS 03

Are you interested in sharing your knowledge of the minerals industry with youth in classrooms or your community?

Do you have a desire to raise public awareness of the significance of mining in daily life?

On March 3, 2019, Mining Matters will host a workshop to train those who wish to volunteer with Mining Matters in a classroom or other public setting. The workshop will take place during the PDAC Convention and will train participants to implement a Volunteer Presentation Kit, complete with hands-on activities that can be delivered to a group. Participants will learn key messages, become familiarized with the components of the Kit and learn how to deliver its contents. If you are looking for ways to inspire the next generation of geoscientists, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

To register, please complete the form below. The deadline for registration is February 21, 2019. Contact [email protected] for additional information.

NOTE: To participate in this workshop you must be registered for the PDAC Convention. An Exhibits Day Pass is available for $24.99 (https://www.pdac.ca/convention/registration/registration-information)
