Teacher Workshops and Resource Kits

Mining Matters Teacher Training and School Programs facilitate hands-on professional development workshops for educators across Canada. Our expert program facilitators support Earth science teaching endeavors through engaging activities, helping to expand educators' knowledge and practices regarding geoscience curriculum. Workshops can be arranged accommodating between 10 to 24 teachers anywhere in Canada with at least four weeks prior notice.

Our resource kits are available to teachers through a prerequisite workshop, hosted by a school board, teacher organization, or available at special events such as the Mining Matters Education Program during the Toronto-based Prospectors and Developers of Canada (PDAC) Annual Convention.

Annual Conferences

Mining Matters attends a variety of conferences across the country where we offer professional development opportunities and resources to educators seeking to learn more about Earth science. In some cases, attending a conference workshop can give you the prerequisite training needed to obtain a Mining Matters resource kit. Click here to learn which conferences we attend on an annual basis.
